Welcome to the "I Write It, You Picture It" Homepage!

Here you will find all of the information on my first venture into the world of telecollaborative projects for use with students. This website will tell you what the project consists of, what you need to participate, and what your students will gain from participating in it.

In this project, students will revise and edit their own short descriptive essays based on drawings their cyber partner creates after reading their first draft. No verbal interaction will take place between the two partners, so the use of adjectives and descriptive phrases to create vivid images for the reader will be of the utmost importance.

The I Write It, You Picture It! telecollaborative project has been designed to align with the descriptive essay writing lessons during the Heritage unit of the 5th grade Anne Arundel County Public Schools writing curriculum. The goal of this project is to help students learn the importance of descriptive words and phrases when writing a descriptive essay. The basic requirements to join are listed below.

In order to learn more about the project entails, what you need to participate, and how to join, click on one of the picture links provided below. We hope to be meeting and learning with you in Cyberspace soon!
