ET 630 Projects

   Computer

This course, ET 630 (Digital Communication in the Classroom) has shown me that incorporating technology appropriately into my curriculum can enhance learning. Please use the links on the left to view my projects.

Web 2.0 Blog Project

This blog I created discusses several technologies such as wikis, social  bookmarking sites, file sharing sites, and Google docs and spreadsheets.  These are discussed with educational uses in mind and show ways that these  technologies can improve the classroom experiences.

Critical Literacy Project

This project focuses on teaching fifth grade students how to critically evaluate information found on the Internet by exploring web sites about school uniforms.  This project has a lesson plan for teachers and activities for students to complete.  After students have evaluated their sites, they need to write a persuasive letter to their principal as to whether or not their school should require uniforms.

Telecollaborative Project

For this project I chose to plan to participate in the ePals' Maps Project.  This project will teach fourth grade students all about physical, climate, and political maps through email exchanges with students in another country.  This project was also used as my Web Site Creation Project.
