On December 1, 2008, you should have how far you are from the closest oil refinery and how much a gallon of gas cost minus state taxes.
Please login into the Google account you sent me. Under documents, you should see a spreadsheet named gas prices. You have the authority to go in and add a line for your school. Please fill out the form completely!! This needs to be done before December 8, 2008 with data collected on December 1, 2008.
After December 8, 2008, you can use the data with you class to see if there is any correlation between the price of gas and the distance from the near oil refinery. You may do this now, or wait until these concepts are covered in your classroom. Also, use the date to find the line of best for the relationship between distance from an oil refinery and price of gasoline (minus state tax).
