El Análisis de Sitios para la Guerra Civil Española
En este proyecto, analizaremos algunos sitios del Internet para verificar si son buenos recursos para completar una busqueda de información de la guerra.
Después de analizar los sitios, los usaremos para explorar los participantes en la guerra, su papel, sus metas, y sus líderes.
Con la información sobre la guerra leeremos el cuento corto Don Payasito y analizaremos los afectos de la guerra en la autora del cuento y los personajes que existen en el mundo creado de Ana María Matute.

This lesson is intended to promote critical thinking skills in choosing the best resources possible for research and the development of new skills and knowledge. This lesson will introduce leaders, concepts, and outcomes of the Spanish Civil War as well as the effects of the war on Spanish authors and the world. Students will read 4-5 short stories throughout the unit, but in this lesson, students will focus on the historical context of the war, the author Ana María Matute, and the short story Don Payasito.
You will find resources for critically analyzing specific websites, graphic organizers for research regarding the war, a PowerPoint for teaching about the author's life, the short story, and a pre-AP level analysis of the short story.
The technology portion of this lesson, including the research, should take 2-3 full class days. Information about the author and the short story should be incorporated into future lessons.
The entire short story unit will culminate with a composition based on the theme of the loss of innocence in all of the short stories coupled with historical and textual support. The unit will take place during the entire second quarter of the Spanish 4 Honors course.
