The Noon Day Project
CIESE: Telecollaboartive
Student and Teacher Goals by Week
Project Goals
The Noon
Day Project is geared towards students in grades five
through twelve who would like to reccreate the measurement of the
circumference of the
Earth. This project is held twice a year, once in September and once in
March, and is offered to classes from all over the World. The key is to
have two participates who's latitude coordinates are different to
produce enough of a numerical difference for calculation purposes. The
class will also need to be able to provide their latitude coordinates
when signing up for this project.
