As of 2003 there were over 33.5 million people in the United States who were foreign born, representing 11.7 percent of the U.S. population. Among the foreign born, 53.3 percent were born in Latin America, 25.0 percent in Asia, 13.7 percent in Europe, and the remaining 8.0 percent in other regions of the world.

This Critical Information Literacy Lesson will give students the opportunity to address the differing sides of the Immigration issue and allow them to come up with their own solution.
