I was born in Annapolis, MD and have lived here all my life. I have one older brother and we grew
up with a golden retriever named Kelly. I grew up sailing and swimming in the summers and during the
school year kept busy with girl scouts, ice skating, horseback riding, and track in high school.
College and Career
I attended Salisbury State University for my undergraduate degree and was a substitute teacher for
a few years before beginning my full-time teaching career. I have been teaching second grade since
1999 and I love it! In the spring I run a Garden Club for second graders and we have a great time.
Currently, I am working on completing my Master's Degree in Educational Technology through Loyola
College. I plan to finish in December 2007.
Life With A Career?
My husband and I were married on July 22, 2005. We met while sailing on two separate boats. He is
from Iowa and has one brother and two sisters, all younger. My husband enjoys reading, more reading,
watching movies, and playing around with electronics. My teaching keeps me very busy, but I enjoy
sailing, swimming, gardening, and our two cats (Charlie, the black and white and Noel, the tabby).
